After the fiasco I have been experiencing with AuthorHouse.com, I started my own publishing company. The name of the company, as the name of this post states, is Totem Tales Publishing. It’s goal is to publish books that educate and inspire young minds.

Originally, Totem Tales was to be the “series” name for the Eartha book I wrote, but I thought it was the perfect name for the publishing company. I am still ironing out all the legal mumbo-jumbo and doo-hickies needed for all this, but I do have the name, the domain name, and the ability to make this dream a reality.

What is a Totem? The first thing that comes to mind is a totem pole. But did you know those totem poles had meaning? Totem’s are actually “animal spirits”, that’s why many totem poles represent animals. Each animal has it’s own meaning and lesson. I though this was perfect for a publishing company that will publish books that educate and inspire.

Totem is also a play on the phrase, “Tote’em”, as in Tote them.
